President Trump has set the media on fire AGAIN this week. This time it is his continued concern over the number of fraudulent votes cost in the last election. While the media is in a rush to go to war with allegations they hacked an email that could have changed peoples minds, they could care less about people committing fraud here. The media continues with the claim that voter fraud has been “debunked,” but what exactly does debunked mean?
A Pew study released in 2012 focused on voter registration irregularities found that approximately 24 million voter registrations were invalid or significantly inaccurate, more than 1.8 million deceased individuals were listed as voters and approximately 2.75 million people had registrations in more than one state. That leaves a lot of potential gaps for fraud, and does not even include the possibility of non-citizens voting. Gaps the left wants to ignore rather than fix.
Even bigger is an Old Dominion University study in a 2014 Electoral Studies article that found that 14 percent of non-citizens thought they were registered to vote. The study found that as many as 6.4 percent of non-citizens may have actually voted. Of course the left dismisses this survey since it does not fit their needs.
In November, True the Vote issued a statement that their observation “absolutely supports President-elect Trump’s recent comment about the impact of illegal voting, as reflected in the national popular vote. We are still collecting data and will be for several months, but our intent is to publish a comprehensive study on the significant impact of illegal voting in all of its many forms and begin a national discussion on how voters, states, and the Trump Administration can best address this growing problem.” True the Vote has also found claimed they have discovered 1,264 “voter crime” convictions in the last two decades after exhaustive research of state and local records.
So we see there are a LOT of holes for fraud to occur. The media lays its claim on the lack of convictions of actual arrests that occur. There is nothing about how hard people are looking. What they are saying is comparable to saying most stores do not catch many shoplifters, so it is not a problem. No, the problem is real it is just not caught very often. How hard are states looking? California has over 800,000 illegal aliens with Driver Licences, and is a motor voter state. Who knows how many may be fraudulently registered.
So all we REALLY know is that is certainly a lot of room for error. Officials have an attitude that if they don’t catch it, it is not a problem. After all, if it is worth chasing the Russians over allegations of their involvement why would we not want to make sure eerything is safe at home. Unless of course Democrats and DC stablishment want to currupt the vote, but only on their terms.
