It is true that a candidate for the United States Presidency has been severely tainted by large financial interests with shady figures in Russia. They took a $500,000 personal payment plus millions in donations to a family foundation. They were also involved in very shady business deals. These people are Hillary and Bill Clinton.
This all ties to the Uranium One deal. Uranium One was a company that was eventually bought out by the Russian nuclear agency, Rosatom. In the process, this gave the Russian government ownership of 20% of US uranium. As reported in the incredible book Clinton Cash:
As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.
And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.
[…] Whether the donations played any role in the approval of the uranium deal is unknown. But the episode underscores the special ethical challenges presented by the Clinton Foundation, headed by a former president who relied heavily on foreign cash to accumulate $250 million in assets even as his wife helped steer American foreign policy as secretary of state, presiding over decisions with the potential to benefit the foundation’s donors.
Renaissance Capital, the Russian bank mentioned above, loved Bill Clinton’s $500,000 performance so much that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin personally called Clinton to thank him.
So, for once, I do agree with the Democrats. There is a huge problem with a presidential candidate and their financial ties to Russia. The only problem is, Hillary Clinton is the one with the ties.
In addition, WikiLeaks has revealed that Clinton Campaign Chair John Podesta also has suspicious dealings with Russia and Putin. Podesta secured “75,000 common shares” from being on the board of an energy company that received $35 million from a Putin-connected Russian government fund.
Now for those of you dealing with left wing idiots, here are some links that they cannot easily disavow:
The New York Times, the Gold Standard of liberal media, also reported on this back in 2015 before they went totally in the tank for Her Highness. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/cash-flowed-to-clinton-foundation-as-russians-pressed-for-control-of-uranium-company.html?_r=0
Since Democrats seem totally tied to bogus fact checkers, here is one from leftist darling Politifact. http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/apr/26/peter-schweizer/fact-checking-clinton-cash-author-claim-about-bill/
